Paul Poscente B.B.A., M.A. (Economics) - President
Co-founder, director and officer of M Private Residences Inc., an exclusive shared ownership company allowing shareholders to own equity across a portfolio of luxury vacation properties in resort destinations around the world. Prior to "M" Paul founded Blackwolf Resources Ltd., which he built into a thriving production company and then sold to a publicly traded oil and gas company. After Blackwolf Paul founded Springfield Energy, which he also built into a successful company and sold to an income trust. In addition to "M" and the Mezz Fund, Paul is currently a director of a New York based long short hedge fund.
Kyle Edwards MBA - Manager of Business Development
Kyle has worked with the Mezz Fund as the Manager of Business Development since 2005. Prior to the Mezz Fund, he received his Masters in Business Administration specializing in Finance from the University of Calgary. After graduating, Kyle worked in corporate finance for Core Partners, a Calgary based company, where he was responsible for the financial analysis of several financings in the retail, manufacturing and real estate industry. After Core, Kyle worked for Tamarack Capital Advisors, the corporate finance division of the accounting firm Meyers Norris Penny; responsibilities at Tamarack included financial analysis and private company valuations for divestitures, acquisitions and financings in a variety of industries.
Frank Boyd P.Eng
Founder, President and CEO of Apex Limited Partnership, a leading Calgary based company operating four divisions: land development, multi-family development and building, and two single family home builders. Over the past fifteen years, Apex has developed sixteen communities, developed and built over 1,500 multi-family units and 4,500 single family units, all totalling over $1.1 Billion in revenue. Frank is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists & Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) and at one time was the President of the Urban Development Institute of Canada.
Darrell Cook FCGA, MBA
Founder, President and CEO of Gibraltar Mortgage Ltd., a mortgage banker that provides funds for interim financing and CMHC residential mortgages. Prior to Gibraltar, Darrell was the President of Ellmar Developments Ltd., a Calgary based property development company. Darrell also acted as Treasurer and Director for Mainstreet Equity Corp., a Canadian real estate company focused on acquiring and managing multi-family residential rental properties. In addition to Gibraltar, Darrell is a director of Canex Energy, an oil and gas company primarily engaged in the exploration and development of crude oil and natural gas in Alberta.
David Gibson P.Eng
Founder and President of Pedmor Enterprises Ltd., a consulting firm that works with several builders, condominium boards and lending institutions. Born and raised in South Africa, David emigrated to Canada in 1976 and started his career here with Starmor as the project manager and property manager for the construction and development of five office buildings in Calgary. In 1984 David founded Summa Management Ltd., which services the construction and development industry, specializing in building large apartment buildings. Among others, Summa projects include the Media Village for the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. David sold Summa in 1997.
